EAT! Scottish Based Food Site Fundraising Gourmet Organic BBQ. Sunday April 21st 2013. The Border Union Showground. Kelso. 10am - 5pm.

Our  first event is to fundraise for THE SCOTISH BORDERS (& NORTH NORTHUMBERLAND) CHARITY CASH FOR KIDS.  We pay for the food,  your donation (The ticket price) all goes to The Local Charity Cash For Kids.  I was fed up with supporting the big charities, when here on our own doorstop there are children in desperate need. So, now to announce the second fundraising foodie event of the year....

This time we are fundraising for the very local and new Scottish Borders Charity, The A.C.Foundation, Who are setting up to give work experience to local Scottish Borders Youth (18-24) of ALL abilities to get them trained with job experience,  to enable them to get  into jobs.  HOW COOL IS THAT?

(A C Foundation, are a Kelso based charity who are so new they are awaiting their charity number we will post the number here when it comes through) But we are really supportive of their goal, and want to help them get the equipment that they need to start up and for training those kids. We believe that getting our local youths into work is a great step toward building a future to be proud of. Helping the young of all abilities to be confident about their prospect of getting a job, and giving them training and work experience, will give them so much confidence in themselves too.

So this fundraiser will work a bit like our first one.  We will sell tickets to our indoor GOURMET ORGANIC 3 course dinner; serving the best local, sustainable Organic food.  It will be in The Borders in December. This is a perfect opportunity for you to buy tickets for yourself or as a Christmas work do. We will have the first local youths that the A C Foundation helps, helping cook and serve the food. Once Again we will post on our affiliated Facebook site just how much we are raising. And during the course of the year you will get to see the local kids that we are helping directly.

To become a “champion of our community”, buy a ticket, and help get local kids into jobs.

Tickets are £10 for the 3 course organic local gourmet dinner. EVERY PENNY OF THE £10 WILL GO TO URGENTLY NEEDED EQUIPMENT (And training for the kids) that, the A C FOUNDATION need to get started.  I pledge to buy all the food myself for this charity fundraising dinner. There will be a limited number of tickets. So foodies for charity get buying or donating now. Call me Laura on 07867 748793 for tickets or to donate. I will post the tickets out to you or deliver them when I am not at my day job.  Thank you for becoming a “champion of our community”

THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING AND SUPPORTING OUR FIRST EVENT FOR CHARITY. We all raised £830.  For Cash For Kids!  It rained, but we sure,  showed how foodies CAN help fundraise for charity!
